RE: Batteries cancelled my outing

Another poster (Tenn Stud)made reference to the chassis batteries supplying power to the engine and transmission computers even if the chassis battery disconnect switch is engaged (disconnected.) If this is true, the assumption would be that having that supply availble is a neccesity for some reason. If this be the case, then would disconnecting the battery for an extended period of time not create a problem with the engine and/or transmission computers?
On my Vectra, the engine battery disconnect is exactly that, the power is terminated to everything including the transmission and engine computer. I can't see what difference it would make be it an hour or six months.

RE: Batteries cancelled my outing

The coach came with a small solar panel on it, but not sure if it goes to the chassis or the house.
The 5 or 10 watt (useless) solar panel that came on the roof goes to the house batteries only.

RE: Batteries cancelled my outing

You probably need to bite the bullet and replace the batteries. You should also check to see if you have a Trik-L-Start installed. Our 07 Vectra had one when we bought it. It is less than 50 dollars and easy to install. You might want to visit the Winnebago Forum at IRV2 for more specific info on Winnebagos.

From the large to the small. The drought has really killed the flowers I enjoy shooting, but found one rose that looked promising.

RE: Wanted : Personal Web Site (UPDATED)

I use Blogger and write on my blog most every day. Blogger hosts pics so you don't have to use a photobucket type site for picture hosting. It works for me.
Great Blog, a sense of humor and reality is every thing!

Lots of great images including all the Leaf Peeper Pictures :) We are slowly working our way south and recently parked at one of our favorite free overnight stops.

Saw this little camper in Elk Meadows, Estes Park, CO. Brought back memories of our first camping with a tent.

RE: mini cooper

We have a roadmaster base plate on our 2006 Mini S 6 speed. It needed no other modifications. We towed it to Alaska and back with no problems other than a chipped windshield. We now have a cover for the complete front end from Coastline Cover . Great pictures aprilwhine.

RE: Picture posting thread...anyone into it?

Jim a true snapshot ,seizing the moment no prior planning. Basically having a camera ready and shooting. Perhaps it should be called a capture of the moment. I never set out to take a picture it is the wow would that be nice moment. Like most people who take photographs I can take a great picture but I guess a snapshot is wow that looks neat. A poor explanation but allot of fun.
Thanks for your explanation?

RE: Prevost A/C questions

No, to your specific question.
You can run ONE of the AC units and the other normal stuff on a 30 amp circuit.
Which would not keep the coach cool at at 95 degrees or higher at a comfortable 72-75 degrees. Not that this is a bad thing. I am just trying to figure out the capabilities of the systems.

Prevost A/C questions

My question is can a Prevost with the over the road a/c units (3-4) or the roof top a/c keep a 45 foot coach cool on 30 amps while still operating the other systems needed for daily life, without running the generator.

Here is Crisp Point lighthouse, it is one of the first 4 original life saving stations built in 1875. It is 13 miles west of Whitefish Point, Michigan.
